About Trefoil Clamp
FRP Trefoil Clamp/Cable Cleats
AERON Trefoil Clamps/ Cable Cleats are basically used for spreading solo core cables in Trefoil touching pattern that helps in maintaining magnetic symmetry thus without any electromagnetic heating and current loss.
AERON Trefoil clamps are fabricated employing molding procedure from Virgin Glass Filled substances. Glass filled materials are employed to enhance the elasticity of the clamp and to shun the breaking down of the clamps from the hook during the tightening process of three single core cables.
Application
Trefoil clamps are taken into use for the high voltage single core or for the cables of larger sizes where the rating of current is high & where the 3 core cables are not accessible.
FRP trefoil clamps are appropriate for partisan single core HDE, PVC, XLPE, XLPE insulated aluminum, earth and un-earth, un- armored, power cables from 1.1 kilo watts to 132 kilo watts grade. 3 phased AC circuits are used trefoil development in sub-stations, generation stations, thermal power stations, industrial installation, switchgear plants, straight and terminal kits through jointing kits etc. These are also used for outdoor or indoor and for horizontal or vertical moving cables interior of trenches or on galleries/ racks.
With the use of Nuts & Washers, Bolts, etc. three single core cables are made to fix into the Trefoil clamps as per the specifications of the clients. Aluminum Trefoil Clamps also offer these advantages to the customers.
Benefits of Aeron Trefoil Clamps
- Higher Mechanical Strength
- Durable as these are not affected by Chemicals & Acid, and Atmosphere.
- Diminish chances of breaking of Hooks because of Glass filled Nylon substances.
- Prevents loss of current and electromagnetic heating
- Few changes in diameter of cable are also fixed conveniently and offers excellent mechanical strength because of simple design
- Needed Tests for Clamps
- Required Tests for Trefoil Clamps
- Aeron Trefoil Clamps or Cable Cleats are tested suitably at CPRI to endure 50 KA short circuit current with spacing among Trefoil clamps set at one meter distance.
- Distance at center between Trefoil clamps can be augmented for less fault level than 50 KA & so total necessities of clamps can be diminished thus reduction in cost.
Single Clamp
Aeron also provides variety of FRP single clamps or Cable Cleats. These can be availed in the sizes from 42mm to 120mm cable diameter.
